Top Ten Tuesday: 2016 New YA by Beloved Authors

Many authors I have loved in the past are coming out with new series or titles in 2016!

Clare1. Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

Another series begins with this story about Emma Carstairs.

185848552. Heartless by Marissa Meyer

The beginning of the Queen of Hearts and her love story.

232995133. The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine

A rich world with the premise of Snow White.

234304714. Riders by Veronica Rossi

A modern take on the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

51UN6ZK2TYL._SX320_BO1,204,203,200_5. Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys

Another WWII tale, this one set in East Prussia (Germany)

6. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

I never know what to expect from Laini, but I’ll read it because it is sure to be poetic and well-imagined. (no image available)

209833627. Passenger by Alexandra Bracken

Sure to have unforgettable characters and an adventure.

Wild-Swans-cover8. Wild Swans by Jessica Spotswood

A curse? A legacy? No–a mystery.

250637819. Summer Days and Summer Nights: Twelve Love Stories edited by Stephanie Perkins

I am really excited Veronica Roth is in this one!

10. The Gift of Power by Tamora Pierce

Follows Numair I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am. Finally Tamora is continuing something in the normal realm of Tortall (rather than the prequel series for Beka Cooper). This was only my absolute favorite YA author as a teen (after J.K. Rowling) and I own just about everything she’s ever written. Major <333333. (no link or image available)

Tamora Pierce is coming out with a new book? Be still my beating heart! I’m just a little disappointed it’s not the promised book about Tris at Lightsbridge, but learning about Numair’s past sounds good, too.

That’s exactly how I felt about it! Supposedly that is what Goodreads said, so let’s hope it’s true! Note: it also lists Tris’s book for 2016, but that doesn’t have a title. It is highly unlikely two will come out this year then. ☹️

I know. And when it feels like we’ve been waiting forever for that one… *sigh*
